We take security and personal integrity very seriously so we have complied with the new privacy policy called General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR.
GDPR applies in the whole EU and has as a purpose to harmonize and create a common standing ground for personal data and integrity and how personal data is being dealt with.
Basically the new GDPR means the following for us:
- We can’t collect more personal data than necessary
- We can only collect personal data for defined purposes
- We can’t keep stored personal data longer than necessary
- We can’t store personal data in more places than necessary
We can’t store personal data outside the EU or countries with similar privacy laws such as https://www.privacyshield.gov
- Users have the right to know what personal data we might have
- Users have the right to be forgotten
- We need to have documentation on how we store personal data
That pretty much sums it up when it comes to the new GDPR and we can say that we comply with them all.
Our privacy policy is to never share any personal data sent to us to any third party at any time.
Further, we delete any personal data once the purpose of the received personal data has been fulfilled.
As part of the GDPR conditions, we do comply with any request to be immediately forgotten if you wish to for whatever reason.
If you have booked any stay with us and haven’t checked in yet, we will retain your personal data until check-out.
If you insist to be immediately forgotten within your rights of the new GDPR, we must cancel your booking at the time of your request.
Any communication, or personal data sent to us, are always encrypted and any stored personal data of any sort are also being encrypted for additional layers of security.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
However, at the moment we do not allow any comments on this website as part of our privacy policy.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
However, at the moment we do not allow any media uploads as part of our privacy policy.
Contact forms & Booking forms
When you fill out a booking request, all data will be stored and transmitted encrypted and only kept until efter check-out.
If no actual booking takes place even after sending a booking request, all data will be deleted without any necessary delay.
We don’t use any actual contact forms until after a possible booking has been made. The data in that form will only be kept until the client has checked-out and then permanently deleted.
Any communication via Tidio, our online chat messenger, will be deleted immediately after finished conversation including any information attached to that chat session.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
But, as previously mentioned, we do not allow any comments or media uploads hence this part of the privacy policy is redundant.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Analytics
Who we share your data with
Absolutely no one. We take our privacy policy and your integrity very seriously.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
All other kind of data are being deleted frequently when the data is no longer necessary to keep.
As an example: upon check-out, all data submitted (if any) to complete a booking will be deleted without any necessary delay.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
However, we do not allow any accounts to be created so this part of the privacy policy is also redundant.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
